Residents of Alburtis enjoy perfect weather for Community Days Carnival
The success of outdoor events is weather-dependent and organizers were thrilled with the weather forecast for this special event.
There was an excellent turnout for both days of the carnival.
The event took place on the grounds of the Alburtis Area Community Center, 220 W. Second St. Music performances, food and seating were on the grass areas while the rides and games were available on the upper level of the grounds.
Residents brought chairs to enjoy The Majestic Band, Robbie Lawrence and the Steel Workers Band and Kinda Sorta Maybe Band.
Vendors had their goods displayed for visitors and food trucks offered a variety of choices for lunch and dinner. Picnic tables were available for seating.
Street parking was available. There was a cost to park in the lot.
Money raised from the carnival goes toward the Fall Festival, Halloween parade and Breakfast with Santa events.
The live entertainment was sponsored by Master Supply of Macungie, KC Stoves, Ott Consulting, ESSA Bank and Mighty Pawz.
