NHS harriers keep improving

The Northampton cross country teams keep getting better and better as the regular season winds down and the postseason gets closer.

In a meet at Central, five Konkrete Kids set personal best times at the Lehigh Parkway.

Liv Jusinski led the way for the girls taking sixth place with a time of 20:34. Mikey Muessig led the way for the boys taking 21st with a time of 18:43.

The five NHS runners with personal best times were: Gavin Beam 21:49, Michael Snyder 19:34, Isaiah Deveney 27:35, Allison Rounsaville 32:45 and Brielle Torres 30:24.

Ben Forte ran a 35:03, Juliana Joseph a 24:22 and Alexa Wright had a time of 26:13.

“The kids keep getting better and better. I could not be happier,” head coach Jaclyn Grejda said about the meet.

The team also competed at the Paul Short Invitational as a tune-up for the postseason events. Seven runners recorded their personal best times.

Jusinski took 14th in the girls race with a time of 20:10.4. Muessig led the boys taking 60th with a time of 18:01.1. Muessig’s time was one of the personal bests for NHS.

Beam topped his best mark with a 20:53.9. Liam Sekol had a best time of 22:40.3. Snyder had a PR of 18:54.0 and Deveney did as well with a 27:03. Rounsaville topped her time with a 32:10.3 and Wright had a 25:28.0 for her best time.

Forte had a 32:43 and Joseph a 24:13.6.
