Viking 5K and Fun Run Oct. 18
Last week, Allentown Central Catholic High School celebrated its Homecoming 2025 Spirit Week. The week was filled with fun activities and dress-down days for the students: Monday was Jersey Day, Tuesday was Country or Country Club, Wednesday was Twin Day, Thursday was Age Decreasing Day and Friday was Green and Gold Spirit Day.
The Homecoming pep rally was also a success, featuring our dance team, cheerleaders and Mance team, all of whom excelled in their performances.
The week ended on a high note with the Homecoming Dance Friday night.
Despite the busy week, our Central City Project Food Pantry distributed 65 bags of groceries and hot peppers from Amy Sullivan Memorial Urban Garden to the residents of Jordan Heights neighborhood.
On Sept. 20, our ACCHS 2025-2026 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Student Athletic Character Council representatives, Katie Carbone, Luke Seiler, Tommy Roth and Annika Spinosa, participated in the first meeting of the school year at Cottingham stadium. They had the opportunity to represent Central Catholic and connect with other schools’ student representatives.
Congratulations to Briana Bauer, who recently reached 500 career digs for Vikette volleyball.
Congratulations as well to the Vikette tennis team for finishing in second place overall with 22 points at this year’s EPC Tournament. Bernadette Gasser also defeated Northwestern Lehigh in the District Finals, claiming her victory as the District Singles Champion. Way to go ladies!
Father Mass also recently participated in the Diocesan Golf Tournament. The tournament benefits Catholic education in our diocese while supporting our seminarians.
Our Class of 2029 enjoyed its freshman retreat at St. Jane’s in Easton Sept. 30. They participated in Mass, shared scripture, relaxed in nature and ended the day with a walk to adoration.
The ACCHS Classes of 1957 and 1975 both had their reunions this year and the ACCHS Class of 1980 will celebrate its 45th reunion Nov. 22. For more information, visit www.acchs.info/reunion-news.
