Macungie Park Halloween parade and festival returns

Family fun, live music, food trucks and games return to Macungie Memorial Park, capped by the annual Halloween parade. After a two-year break, Rising River Brewing will host the 2025 Macungie Park Halloween Festival 4-9 p.m. Oct. 11 (rain date: Oct. 12).
Rising River owner and Lehigh County Commissioner Ron Beitler said, “The festival was such a great experience and the volunteers did a fantastic job. When it became harder to organize as a completely volunteer initiative, we stepped in with our staff to handle the heavy lifting.”
The local tradition again brings the East Penn community together with live entertainment, food trucks, games and the much-anticipated parade.
The festival kicks off 4 p.m. with local favorites The Gastrotruck, Taco Town, Twisted Pita and East Texas Food Co., plus craft beer, hard seltzer, cider, ice cream and more from Rising River Brewing.
From 4-6 p.m., Wesley Works DJ, sponsored by Wesley Works Real Estate, will keep the crowd energized with music, games, a chalk contest and costume contest. At 6 p.m., live music takes over the historic park band shell with new local band Fridge Magnet, performing before and after the parade.
Guests can also explore a vendor area with handmade spooky crafts.
The parade steps off 7 p.m., reaching Macungie Memorial Park around 7:30 p.m. “Along with Main Street, Macungie Memorial Park will be a hub of family fun before the parade,” Beitler said. Proceeds from sponsorships support both the festival and the park.
Beyond music, food and crafts, families can enjoy a jumbo bounce house, giant slide and inflatable games, sponsored by Mick Seislove Berkshire Hathaway, Erdman Plumbing, Tom Bartholomew State Farm and New Tripoli Bank.
There is a charge per car, keeping the evening affordable for families.
This year’s festival is presented with the support of title sponsors Service Electric Cable TV and Rising River Brewing. Music in the band shell is proudly sponsored by TraiFilms Wedding Cinematography.
Sponsorship opportunities and craft vendor spaces are still available. All proceeds benefit the Halloween Parade and Macungie Memorial Park 501c3.
