Harold G. Hoppes, 85, of Germansville, died Oct. 6, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Elaine (Herber) Hoppes for 58 years. Born in Windsor Township, he was the son of the late Morris and Amanda (Bower) Hoppes.

He was a builder and enjoyed remodeling, as well as a farmer. He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church in New Tripoli, where he was active on various committees. He was past president of the Germansville Fire Co where he volunteered in the kitchen for over 30 years, was president of the Central Grange 1650 of Germansville and a member of the Lehigh-Northampton Pomona Grange. He was a member of the Lehigh County Conservation District where he was associate director for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Sarah Kline (Brett), of Fleetwood and Glen (Daniela), of Germany; siblings, LeRoy, of Mohrsville, Roy (Geraldine), of Centerport and Elsie Kauffman, of Ephrata; grandchildren, Lavinia and Chase Kline; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Harry.

The funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Oct. 13 at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Lutheran Church Road, New Tripoli, with a visitation 10-11 a.m. in the church.
