Coplay Public Library: Library to hold fall festival
Celebrate the season at the Coplay Public Library’s fall festival, set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 11. The rain date is Oct. 25.
The fun will start with storytime and craft with Janice until noon. Then, decorate a pumpkin, have your face painted, test your skills at corn hole, and try our scavenger hunt.
Refreshments will be available.

Come to the library to watch free movies 11 a.m. Saturdays. The movie schedule features “Monster House” Oct. 18 and “Coco” Oct. 25.

The shopping passes for Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends fundraising event are here, so be sure to mark your calendar for 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 22.
You will enjoy a discount on your in-store purchases and a chance to win a Boscov’s gift card. All proceeds from purchasing passes go to the library.

Vince’s Famous Cheesesteaks food truck will be in the parking lot of Saylor Park, 245 N. Second St., for a library fundraiser noon-6 p.m. Oct. 23. There will be also be a bake sale.

Our Fiber Arts and Friends Circle group meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Adults and teens are welcome.
Learn to crochet, work on a current needlework project or just get advice from our more experienced crafters. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.

The coloring group for teens and adults meets 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

Sign up your child for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose. When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award.
There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

We accept donations of books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles all year. See our donations policy on our website, coplaypl.org, or call the library at 610-262-7351.
For your safety, drop off donations at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.

We have a selection of fiction and nonfiction books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles for sale on our main floor. Look for them on the shelves under the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask if you need assistance.

If you need to use a computer to search for information or print something, we have six public access computers for you to use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.
If you do not have a library card, it only takes a few minutes to get one. All you need is a form of ID, like a driver’s license.
Library cards are free and may be used at 12 libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

The library’s hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
