Barbara A. Silfies, 77, of Macungie, died Oct. 3, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was the longtime loving companion of the late Donald C. Brey. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Allen W.H. and Pauline A. (Miller) Silfies.

She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University in 1970. She was employed as a computer programmer for Dun & Bradstreet in Center Valley for 11 years before retiring in 2007. Before that, she worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Durkee Foods and the former Merchants Bank of Allentown.

She is survived by a brother, Donald A. and his wife, Susan, of Lehighton; sister, Susan A. Stephens, of Macungie; nieces, Melissa Godley and Jennifer Abraham and her husband, Josh; great-niece, Kristi; great-nephew, Jared; many friends from college, past workplaces and her community.
