The Parkland cross country teams both went 3-0 in a meet last week hosted by Bethlehem Catholic.
The Trojan boys, who were led by Collin McGuigan’s first-place finish, beat Freedom (15-50), Liberty (18-45) and Bethlehem Catholic at the meet.
McGuigan finished the race in 17:11, not far ahead of teammate Isaiah Wilson (17:26) in third place. Cole Orloski (17:49) was fourth overall and third for Parkland, followed by teammate Brycen Smith (18:02) in fifth and Jaiden Denzab (18:02) sixth overall to round out Parkland’s top five.
In the girls meet, Parkland beat Bethlehem Catholic (15-50), Freedom (23-38) and Liberty (26-33) last week.
Harshita Keerthi led Parkland with a second place overall finish, running the course in 19:02 to finish just behind Liberty’s Elizabeth McClain.
Emma Carlson (20:31) was the second Trojan to cross the line in sixth place overall, followed by Violet Forte (20:32) in seventh place, Lilah Ellis (21:41) in 10th place and Dani Schultz (21:43) in 12th place to round out the Parkland team score.
