The Emmaus girls tennis team remained unbeaten with recent wins over East Stroudsburg North, Pocono Mountain East and Whitehall.
The Hornets beat ESN 6-0 as Sophia Kaufman and Anshi Kanani won singles matches, while Gab Tranguch picked up a win by forfeit while leading 5-0 in the first set.
The doubles teams of Brooke DiGiacomo and Nat Hillegass; Fiona Harvey and Zoe Stantana; Kate Kapp and Emily Kaufman; and Avary Pulliatte and Riyah Patel all won their matches against ESN. Leah Perez was also victorious in an alternate singles match.
In the 6-1 win over Pocono Mountain East last Thursday, Kanani and Tranguch won singles matches, while the doubles teams of DiGiacomo and Hillegass; Kapp and Emily Kaufman; Puliatte and Patel and Izzy Kennet and Taylor Henninger won their matches.
Emmaus beat Whitehall 7-0 Friday to improve to 13-0 overall this season and 12-0 in East Penn Conference matches.
The Hornets and Parkland (11-1, 11-0 EPC) are the last two unbeaten teams left in the EPC. They meet Sept. 22 at Emmaus High School in a match that will likely determine the league’s regular season champ and top seed for the District 11 team tournament.
