All players whose season scoring average is low enough to earn a place in next week’s District 11 qualifier will be back in action Tuesday at Northampton Country Club trying make the championship field. Any boys player who finished in the top five at one of this year’s league tournaments, or any player who qualified for the state championship tournament last year, is exempt from qualifying and is automatically entered into the district championship field.

The Tigers’ Scheffler competed in last year’s state tournament and will be exempt from next week’s qualifier.

The district championship tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 30 at The Steel Club.
