PRESS PHOTO BY JIM MARSHDuring three successive Monday night training sessions in September, firefighters from Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company pull hoses from station engines and transport them to a remote area to test them under pressure. The annual testing reassures firefighters there are no leaks or other anomalies in any of the thousands of feet of hoses on their engines. After the testing, the hoses are carefully arrayed back on the engines so they are ready to be quickly put into action for a fire.
