William C. Snyder

of Whitehall

William C. Snyder, 97, of Whitehall and formerly of Schnecksville, died Sept. 13, 2025, at Fellowship Community in Whitehall. He was the husband of the late Lucille M. (Mantz) Snyder for 68 years.

He was the son of the late Harvey and Mildred (Hornberger) Snyder.

He joined the U.S. Navy, serving for two years while helping to bring troops home at the end of World War II.

He worked for Western Electric Co., Allentown, as a chemical plater for 39 years before retiring in 1987.

He played in the Western Electric intramural fast-pitch softball league for many years. He and his wife were lifetime members of the Telephone Pioneers of America, with whom they participated in their mixed bowling league.

He is survived by two children, Gregory and wife Lynn of Macungie and Debra Berresford of Whitehall; a granddaughter, Jenna; a grandson, Adam Berresford; great-grandsons, Liam and Hunter Berresford; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Stefanie Berresford; a brother, Donald; and two half-brothers, John and Robert Edens.
