Willard R. Windt

former EPSD teacher

Willard R. Windt, 86, of Allentown, died peacefully Sept. 20, 2025, while residing at DevonHouse Senior Living. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Willard L. and Anna M. (Maza) Windt.

He was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and Millersville State College.

He was an industrial arts teacher for the East Penn School District for many years and introduced taped lessons of industrial arts classes.

He was a former member of the Emmaus Lions Club and member of PSEA, NEA and was a friend of Mr. Bill.

He is survived by his brother, James F. and his wife, Dorothy; nieces, Jennifer and her husband, Duane Gutshall, Kimberly and her husband, Eric Dost; nephew, Matthew and his wife, Erin; great-nieces, Ashley, Jordyn, Courtney; great-nephew, Andrew; step-brother-in-law, Ronald Wolfe.

He was predeceased by his stepmother, Dorothy S. Stackhouse; stepsister, Joan Wolfe.

His family would like to thank the staff and residents of DevonHouse Senior Living for the support and friendship during his stay there.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
