Eddie “Sarge” Baranski, 80, of Northampton, died Sept. 23, 2025. He was the husband of Sharon Baranski.

He was born in Palmerton.

He served his nation in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he achieved the rank of sergeant. During his service, he earned the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, the Vietnamese Service Medal, the Vietnamese Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He also trained with the First Marine Brigade in Hawaii and attended Guerilla Warfare School.

He started Papa Sarge’s Pierogies.

He volunteered with Veterans of Foreign Wars and Toys for Tots.

He is survived by two daughters, Jolene Terleski and husband Jeff and Alicia; two grandchildren, Conner Terleski and Alana Williams; and nieces and nephews.
