The audit for 2024 was completed by Campbell, Rappold and Yurasits Certified Public Accountants and presented at the Sept. 15 Macungie Borough Council meeting. No new accounting policies were adopted and existing policies were not changed.

In other business, the Locust Street Sidewalk project had some changes which involved some sidewalk panel and curb changes and a conduit for a telephone pole. These were minor changes to the project and approved by council.

Resolution 2025-07 was approved regarding winter maintenance with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. This agreement involves the borough plowing two roads. This agreement is a 5-year agreement and was up for renewal.

Camille McDonald was suggested to fill the vacant position on the planning commission with the term expiring March 31, 2027. Council did not approve this appointment saying they did not know her background and knowledge of the planning commission.

Authorization of the system user agreement for the county-wide radio system is part of the agreement with Lehigh County for new radio usage by the police department. It is a requirement for the new radio system.

There was an executive session held to discuss legal matters.
