Attention all Salisbury High School Band alumni: you are invited to join the SHS marching band Oct. 10 for Homecoming. Join to march in the parade and/or play in the stands during the game. Email your commitment to salisburymusicassn@gmail.com.

The SHS Homecoming parade will be held Oct. 10. The parade will step off from SES 5:15 p.m. and make its way to end at SHS. This is always a fun event just before the homecoming game.

SHS invites parents to visit for its open house 6:45-9 p.m. Sept 25. This is a great opportunity for families of new freshmen and new students to meet teachers and see the school.

The SHS counseling office will host a presentation on the dual enrollment program Sept. 25 before the SHS open house 6 p.m. This will be a great time to learn about the options SHS students have to earn college credit, at a reduced cost, while still in high school.

Its finally here – AM Radio returns to Franko Park for a free concert 1-4 p.m. Sept. 27. Food will also be available from Top of the Hill Grill food truck and dessert from the So Cool Ice Cream truck will be available.

Looking ahead, the first professional development day of the school year will be held Oct. 13. There will be no school on this day for Salisbury Township School District students.

The township recycling drop off sites are open. The Franko Farm site will be open Sept. 25 and 27 and the Devonshire site will be open Sept. 29, Oct. 2 and 4. Drop off center hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
