Allentown Central Catholic offers many opportunities for students to get involved in the community. These past couple weeks, students have had the chance to make salsa and hot sauce for the Central City Project.
The Aevidum Club also held its “Blue and Teal Day” (or Spirit Wear) dress down day Sept. 10. All proceeds went toward promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
On Sept. 12, the Class of 1985 held its reunion tour.
Students are invited to participate in the Harrisburg March for Life 7:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22.
Vikette volleyball held a 50/50 raffle Sept. 17 in Rockne Hall. Proceeds will be given to the Autism Society of the Lehigh Valley. If you have any questions, contact Jessica Walsh at jessicaw@rcn.com.
ACCHS Partner School Football Night will be Sept. 20. Be there 6:30 p.m. in J. Birney Crum Stadium to recognize our MiniVikes football and cheer teams. Be sure to stay afterward to watch the Vikings take on Bethlehem Catholic.
Homecoming is planned for Oct. 4. Come and watch Viking football vs. Allen at J. Birney Crum Stadium. There is free admission for all partner school students.
The Viking 5K is Oct. 18, starting 9:30 a.m. at J. Birney Crum Stadium. All proceeds benefit ACCHS athletics and the Central City Project. The registration fee is discounted before Oct. 1 and includes a shirt. After Oct. 1, registration is higher and participants will receive a shirt if available. There is also a 1-mile walk, open to all ages, starting 9 a.m. Registration by Oct. 1 is discounted. For more information, visit viking5k.com.
