Family fun with Wildlands Conservancy Sept. 20

Upper Macungie Township has partnered with Wildlands Conservancy to offer individuals and families to partake in its Family Fun with Wildlands Conservancy 4-5 p.m. Sept. 20.

The next program is a Nature Walk Tour of Wildlands Conservancy Headquarters, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus.

Tour the Wildlands headquarters to learn about the ins and outs of daily operations.

Catch up with some of their animal residents and learn about their unique stories that connected them with the Wildlands.

There is a small cost to participate.

The township will hold its last Grub and Groove at Grange series 5-8 p.m. Sept. 25 in the parking lot Pavilion No. 1 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

Come out and enjoy various food trucks and music.

The township’s free Concert in the Park series with Latin Xperience will take place 6 p.m. Sept. 27 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road.

This vibrant concert in the park is all about bringing the rhythm and flavors of Latin culture to life.

From lively music to mouthwatering foods that’ll spice up your taste buds, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will hold its next community free dinner sponsored by Ladies Aid at the church 5 p.m. Sept. 19 while supplies last.

Anyone interested in volunteering should call the church at 610-395-5535.

They will also hold a fall basket social 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4.

Preview night will take place 6-8 p.m. Oct. 3.

Tickets may be purchased/placed both days, take-out food items will be available only Oct. 4.

Winners will be drawn at the end of the event and contacted by phone.

Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, will hold its Apple Dumpling Festival 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 11.

They have filled their craft spaces and secured The Perk-up Truck and Casa de Empanada food trucks for the festival.

They are also seeking gift baskets/items for the basket raffle and donations of desserts to sell at the dessert table.

The deadline to preorder is Oct. 5.

They will also take preorders before and after services during the month of September.
