Whitehall Township Public Library: Annual fall book sale scheduled for Sept. 26, 27 at library
The fall book sale is planned for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 26 and 27 at Whitehall Township Public Library.
There will be a bag sale noon-3 p.m. Sept. 27. Participants must use paper grocery bags provided by the library.

Register now for fall storytimes at the library.
Starting in October, preschool storytime is 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, and toddler storytime is 11 a.m. Thursdays.

The “Curious Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe” program is set for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7. Learn about Poe’s tragic beginnings and doomed loves to the eerie genius behind his tales.
Discover the haunting circumstances of his untimely and unexplained death and explore the legacy of the master of gothic horror.

The fall basket raffle will be Oct. 24-Nov. 1. The library is currently accepting donations of gift cards, baskets and new items to fill baskets.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.
The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come and discuss what you’re currently reading.
The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.
The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.
The Death Cafe, a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes, meets 6:30 p.m. the third Monday.

The library is working with Plant a Row Lehigh Valley again this year to bring fresh produce to local families in need. You can drop off produce at the library from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays.
Your donations benefit Whitehall Food Pantry at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

The library’s regular hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
