Francis J. Molchan, 99, of Bethlehem, died Sept. 7, 2025, at Sacred Heart Living by the Creek. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie A. (Lukish) Molchan for 55 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of John and Mary (Superka) Molchan.

He was a graduate of Whitehall High School.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in Okinawa.

He worked at Mack Trucks for many years. He was then employed at Lucent Technologies where he was a layout operator, retiring in 1987 after 29 years of dedicated service.

He was a longtime member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

He was a basketball official for more than 20 years.

He is survived by two sons, Francis T. and wife Deborah and Thomas J. and fiancee Karen Serafino; three grandchildren, Stephanie Cesare and husband Matthew, Michael and wife Kaitlyn and Eric and Alexandra; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Carson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
