St. John Fisher Roman Church member
Eugene J. O’Donnell, 96, formerly of Catasauqua, died Sept. 7, 2025, at Sacred Heart Senior Living in Northampton. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Balik) O’Donnell for 66 years.
Born in Fullerton, he was the son of the late James and Regina (Adlon) O’Donnell.
He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He worked for H.M. Thayer Tree Service before and after the Korean War. He also worked for Mack Trucks as an assembler for more than 20 years before retiring.
He was a lifetime member of St. Lawrence the Martyr and St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church in North Catasauqua and was a member of the Holy Name Society.
He was a member of Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 and volunteered at Catasauqua Fire Department, Habitat for Humanity and CAST Productions.
He is survived by a son, Timothy and wife Denise; three daughters, Ann Marie and husband James Patterson, Rosemary and husband Randy Sell and Nancy Sell; and five grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Sara, Rachel and Damen.
He was predeceased by a sister, Monica Bickel; and a grandson, Tyler Patterson.
