Police reported Aug. 11 that a New Jersey man was arrested after he allegedly injured two people in a late-night Southside restaurant shooting Aug. 8.
Ashton Jordan Thomas, 18, of Stewartsville, is charged with attempted homicide, assault, firearms and other crimes. During an argument with a group of people just after midnight at Sizzling Bites on East Third Street, Thomas was slapped by one of them and soon opened fire with a pistol, hitting two victims with multiple bullets.
Thomas is being held without bail at Northampton County Prison.
