Northampton: Stop by annual fair on Main St. Sept. 13

Uptown Northampton Street Fair is set for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 13 on Main Street. It will feature local merchants, craft vendors, live music, family-friendly fun and demonstrations, food trucks and vendors, beer and adult beverages, rock climbing and more.

Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave., will have its first clothing and accessories garage sale, planned for 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 13 in the church social hall. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories, such as hats, gloves, scarves, belts, shoes and purses, will be sold. Costume and silver jewelry will also be available for purchase.

The entrance to the hall is from the back of the church off Stewart Street.

Northampton Area Historical Society’s mum pickup is set for 8-11 a.m. Sept. 13 at Siegfried Railroad Station on West 21st Street.

Northampton Borough Fire Department’s fall/winter breakfast buffet is scheduled for 8-11 a.m. Sept. 14 at the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive. The menu includes scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, potatoes, French toast, SOS, bacon, milk, juice, coffee and tea.

Prices vary according to age group.

Boy Scout Troop 93 is holding a pancake breakfast and bake sale fundraiser, planned for 8 a.m.-noon Sept. 21 in the lower level of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 19th and Lincoln avenues. Plain, blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes (optional fruit toppings), sausage and drinks will be served.

Prices are age based. Proceeds will benefit the troop.

Northampton Area School District’s community education fall program is offering water aerobics with Susan Roberts. Come experience a low-impact workout that is kind to your joints. The instructor will explain all the exercises and utilize noodles, water dumbbells and water belts to give you a total body workout.

Classes are 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays Sept. 23-Nov. 4 in the natatorium at Northampton Area Middle School, 1617 Laubach Ave.

Register at nasdschools.org under the Community tab.

Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old.

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church will hold a new and used book sale, scheduled for 1-7 p.m. Oct. 4 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 5 in the church social hall, 2181 Washington Ave.
