Buckeye Road closure for car jamboree Aug. 22

The 46th annual “Wheels of Time” Rod and Custom Jamboree is scheduled Aug. 22-24 at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 Poplar St., in the borough.

To facilitate the anticipated large gathering of vehicles into the area, Buckeye Road, between Tank Farm Road and Chestnut Street (State Route 29), Upper Milford Township, will be closed to traffic 5-9 p.m. Aug. 22 and only open for local residents, according to state police.

“Motorists who choose to disrupt this event by operating their vehicle in a hazardous and unsafe manner, will be cited and charged appropriately by Pennsylvania State Police,” according to a news release from state police dated Aug. 18.
