A 23-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop along South 24th Street, Salisbury Township, 12:32 a.m. July 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana, according to authorities.

Crash

A 68-year-old motorist, of Allentown, was hurt when her vehicle struck a center median along Interstate 78 West near mile marker 55.5, Salisbury Township, in a one-vehicle crash 9:36 a.m. Aug. 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was in the right lane, traveling at approximately 55 mph, when the driver braked to slow down for traffic ahead, according to authorities. The motorist lost control of the vehicle and swerved to the left where the vehicle struck the median. The vehicle then traveled back across all three lanes of the highway. The motorist was injured, including sustaining a broken ankle and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital by Cetronia EMS. Yocum Towing also responded.
