LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Police: Attendance up, crime down

Musikfest 2025 was a record-breaking year, with 1,449,000 attendees visiting the City of Bethlehem over the course of the 11-day festival.

This year’s event was blessed with beautiful weather, drawing large crowds to enjoy music, food and community in a safe and welcoming environment. The Bethlehem Police Department remains committed to providing a secure and enjoyable festival experience for each of these visitors.

Each day, the department assigned dozens of officers throughout the festival grounds with the primary mission of providing high-visibility patrols to deter illegal and disruptive activities, while also assisting festival visitors whenever needed. The success of this year’s event was made possible through the cooperation and assistance of local, state, and federal partners, whose collaboration played a vital role in ensuring public safety. We are truly grateful to our partners and thank them all for their tireless efforts.

This year’s festival saw a decrease in the total number of arrests and incidents compared to 2024, with a total of 17 arrests, down from 28 last year. Public drunkenness and disorderly conduct remained among the most common offenses, along with simple drug possession, DUI and assault.

The department handled a total of 113 service calls, including assisting Bethlehem EMS on 48 medical incidents, recovering lost or found property, investigating thefts and responding to suspicious activity and vandalism reports.

We look forward to building on this year’s success and can’t wait to see everyone back in Bethlehem for another safe, fun, and unforgettable Musikfest in 2026.
