On May 20, fifth grade students from Northwestern and Weisenberg elementary schools met at the recreation fields for the school’s annual Fifth Grade Finale.
Physical Education teachers Chris Klein, Weisenberg, and Isaiah Danner, Northwestern, worked together to organize a fun-filled day of friendly competitive games.
Over 30 volunteers signed up to help keep everyone on schedule and referee as students worked their way through game stations.
The parent teacher organizations from both schools purchased class T-shirts for each child as well as teachers, and provided refreshing freeze pops.
About half of the students signed up to participate in this year’s Fun Run.
It was divided into two separate runs, the girls went first and the boys followed.
