YOUTH COUNCIL: Every school year, the Youth Council offers exciting volunteer opportunities where high school students can give back to the local community while building valuable skills. Through chaperoned group activities, students connect with local nonprofits and meet peers from 20 high schools across the Lehigh Valley.
Being part of the Youth Council means engaging in leadership development, earning service hours, and exploring various career paths — all in a supportive, welcoming environment. The council is youth-led, with students from five different high schools in leadership positions, and is guided by the dedicated Volunteer Center team.
Each year as part of the program, the center invites students to submit an application for a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship applications are reviewed and up to three students are able to receive them.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Youth Volunteer Council at youthcouncil@volunteerlv.org or Julie Huber, youth volunteer council adviser at julie@volunteerlv.org.
