Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department is accepting orders online until 5 p.m. Aug. 25 for their hoagie sale.

Choose between Italian, with onions and peppers, or onion and no peppers or peppers and no onions or no onions or peppers; ham and American cheese; turkey; roast beef or tuna salad.

Ingredients supplied by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Hoagie pickup will take place 2-6 p.m. Sept. 4 at the fire station.

They will also be selling Nesting Box Ice Cream in half gallons.

Available flavors are blueberry cheesecake, butter brickle, chocolate marshmallow, loaded coffee, mint chip, peach streusel, salted caramel pretzel and vanilla.

Community Day will take place noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Weisenberg Field, 9504 Bachelor Road, Kutztown.

There will be music, activities, local artisans and more. Food and treats will include Vince’s Famous Cheesesteak Food Truck, the Nesting Box ice cream and bake sale.

These events benefit the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department.

Weisenberg/Lowhill Township Historical Society, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli, is presenting its genealogy networking 5-7 p.m. Aug. 25.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, will be holding a picnic 4-8 p.m. Sept. 6.

The band Midnight Special sponsored by Heintzelman Funeral Home will perform from 5-8 p.m.

There will be a cake walk, basket raffle, great food and fellowship.

Donate your unwanted costume, estate, broken, personalized, gold and silver jewelry and watches.

A receptacle will be in the Narthex of the church. Drop-offs can be made Tuesday or Thursday’s between 9:30-11:30 a.m.
