Aug. 25 is the first day of school for students in the Catasauqua Area School District. CHS opens for all students 7:20 a.m. Breakfast is served 7:35 a.m. Homeroom is from 7:40 a.m. to 7:50 a.m.
The high school has a new block and bell schedule for the 2025-26 academic year. Please be sure to review this information on the school district’s website, cattysd.org.
Upon dismissal, starting 2:35 p.m., students should immediately exit the building through the main doors at their designated dismissal time, unless involved in after-school activities or functions. The buses leave exactly six minutes after the bell at the end of the day. Students staying after school Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays who require transportation from the late bus must sign up in the main office before attending the after-school activity.

Join CHS for its open house/meet-the-teacher night 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 in your student’s classroom. This is a good opportunity to introduce yourself, explore the classroom and learn about the exciting year ahead.
