Forty-four first-year medical students, who will train all four years at Bethlehem-based Temple/St. Luke’s, donned their “doctor” coats for the first time. The ceremony signifies their transition from the study of undergraduate preclinical health sciences. Among the participants were numerous local medical students, including Jennah Abdelaziz, of Allentown. Abdelaziz is particularly interested in women’s health and decided to become a doctor so that she could “contribute to communities that are underserved.”
