DUI Crashes
A 56-year-old male, of Center Valley, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of South Cedar Crest Boulevard and Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:47 a.m. June 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 25-year-old female, of Trexlertown, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers came upon a disabled vehicle and its driver in the area of Pennsylvania Route 309 and Interstate 78 West, Lower Macungie Township, 2:08 a.m. July 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Investigators determined the vehicle was damaged because of a collision.
DUI
A 44-year-old male, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Second Street, Emmaus borough, 1:57 a.m. July 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Disorderly
conduct
A 22-year-old male, of Allentown, was cited for disorderly conduct after restaurant management called troopers to a disturbance at Texas Roadhouse, Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 9:04 p.m. Aug. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft
A gas furnace unit, valued at $520 and copper coil for HVAC were removed from a garage area of a residential unit under construction in the area of Century Boulevard and Golden Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between July 25 and July 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Identity theft
A resident of St. Peters Road, Upper Milford Township, learned a credit card account was opened in their name and someone charged approximately $1,200, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The account was opened between March 1, 2022 and July 22, according to authorities.
Crash
A motorist, of Staten Island, N.Y., was hurt when their sport utility vehicle hit a small brick bridge in the 2900 block of Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, 2:24 p.m. July 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was westbound “traveling at an unsafe speed” during heavy rain, according to authorities. The motorist lost control and the vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and continued through a drainage area before striking the bridge. Macungie Ambulance Corps and Detwilers Towing also responded. The motorist refused emergency transportation from the crash scene.
