Aug. 15
Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., will offer a free community meal 5-6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Takeout meals are also available. Call the church office at 610-966-3325 for the menu.
The Seed Farm will host a build-a-bouquet event 6 p.m. at the farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus. Participants are invited to create a personalized bouquet from sustainable and locally-grown flowers from Bubbly Hills Farm. The session will be led by Farmer Lizzy of Bubbly Hills Farms. Aug. 16
St. Peter’s Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Road, Macungie, will host a yard sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call the church office to register for a space, 610-966-3030. There is a fee to reserve a space. The rain date is Aug. 23.
Aug. 17
Vera Cruz Homecoming will be held noon to 8 p.m. in Mystic Chain Park, 3718 Main Road East. A cakewalk is scheduled 3:15 p.m. Entertainment will include music performances by The Rehrig Brothers and TimeWhys band.
Tookany Creek Bluegrass Band will perform in Emmaus Community Park, Shimerville Road, as part of the Concerts in the Park series 6-8 p.m. Admission is free.
Rustix will perform classic rock 4-6 p.m. at The Hills at Lock Ridge, 7125 Scenic View Drive, Macungie, as part of the Lower Macungie Township Summer Concert Series.
Aug. 22
The Fran Mayville Duo performs 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Triangle Park, Emmaus, as part of the Tunes in the Triangle free summer concert series.
Aug. 22-24
The 47th annual Wheels of Time Rod and Custom Jamboree is scheduled at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 Poplar St., Macungie. The show opens 7 a.m. each day. Donations of food items for local food banks will be accepted.
Aug. 24
Scott Marshall and the Highway Souls perform 6-8 p.m. as part of the Concerts in the Park series in Emmaus Community Park, Shimerville Road, Emmaus. Admission is free.
Basket raffles, bingo, 50/50, carnival games and performances by The Moore Brothers Band are among attractions scheduled for a 100th anniversary celebration in Alburtis Park, 328 S. Main St. Games will start noon. Music performances begin 2 p.m. There will be a contest featuring past photos of Alburtis Park. Admission and parking are free. All proceeds benefit Alburtis Park and a nonprofit organization.

The Upper Milford Historical Society hosts a presentation by Candace Perry, of the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center in Pennsburg, 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Perry will talk about the history of German Fraktur, a decorative art tradition of the Pennsylvania Dutch.
Aug. 31
The SwingTime Dolls perform 6-8 p.m. as part of the Concerts in the Park series in Emmaus Community Park, Emmaus. Admission is free.
Sept. 2
Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus. Use the entrance at the back of the building gymnasium. Parking also will be available at St. John’s UCC, 139 N. Fourth St. Andrew Neely, master gardener, will present a program on edible landscaping and how to incorporate fruit-bearing plants into your landscape in an aesthetically pleasing way. Topics will include plant location, selection and many other considerations involved when using edible plants in a home’s landscape. All are welcome and light refreshments will be served.

This is a rescheduled show from Lower Macungie Township’s summer concert series.

The Upper Milford Historical Society will host a talk by Mike Jesberger on the final words of military leaders. The free program starts 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Old Zionsville.
Sept. 30
The Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society will host a program titled “The Forts of the Blue Mountains” 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Old Zionsville. The program will highlight the forts built by the Pennsylvania Regiment in the 18th century. Admission to the program is free.
