Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Bethlehem is conducting an investigation that occurred on the State Route 22 eastbound ramp to State Route 512, in Hanover Township, Northampton County.
On Wednesday, Aug. 6, at approximately 6:16 a.m., Troopers were dispatched to the area of State Route 22 eastbound off ramp to State Route 512 in Hanover Township. Upon investigation, troopers determined a 65-Year-Old male from South Amboy, New Jersey was struck by a vehicle and killed.
The ramp from State Route 22 Eastbound to State Route 512 remained closed during this investigation and reopened at approximately 9:15 a.m.
The Northampton County Coroner’s Office pronounced the male deceased at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.

The PSP Bethlehem Patrol Unit is the lead agency in this investigation. Assisting with this investigation: Northampton County Coroners Office, Troop M Collision Analysist Reconstruction Specialist Unit, Troop M Forensic Services Unit, PennDOT and Colonial Regional Police Department.
