Theft
A 55-year-old female, of Allentown, was charged July 22 with alleged theft and receiving stolen property after she was video recorded on store security cameras at retailer Ross Dress Less, 3300 Lehigh St., while taking possession of a mislaid wallet, according to Salisbury police. After taking the wallet, she allegedly removed cash from it. The mislaid wallet and cash were the property of another shopper at the store, according to authorities.
Hit and run
Someone struck a vehicle parked in a lot at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard and left the scene, according to Salisbury police. The crash was reported July 21.
Criminal mischief
Someone smashed the windshield of a vehicle parked at KidsPeace, 1650 Broadway, according to Salisbury Police. The incident was reported July 21.
Noise complaint
Officers received four different calls about loud music in the area of Walking Purchase Park, 1292 Constitution Ave., according to Salisbury police. Police determined the music was originating from across the river in the City of Allentown, according to authorities.
Shots fired call
Salisbury Township Police officers responded to South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., July 22 for a report of shots fired, according to Salisbury police. “Officers patrolled the area and interviewed individuals on scene but did not find any evidence of any shots being fired,” according to a press release from Salisbury police.
Assists
The Salisbury police K-9 team assisted Upper Macungie Township Police during a traffic stop along Millcreek Road and Route 222, Upper Macungie Township, July 22, according to Salisbury police.
Salisbury police officers assisted at Wawa, 2209 Lehigh St., July 24 after Allentown police officers requested assistance at a traffic stop involving a vehicle with a stolen registration plate, according to Salisbury police. The convenience store is located in the City of Allentown, according to authorities.
