Irene Kocsi, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson. She was the wife of Frank Kocsi Sr for 68 years. She was born on July 12, 1938 in Rabatotfalu, Hungary to the late Kalman and Katalin (Talaber) Bartakovics.
She worked for the former Gamet and Baba’s Silk Mills as a sewing machine operator. She and her family then owned and operated Frankie’s Texaco on Wyandotte Hill from 1978-1992.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp. and the Slovak Catholic Sokal Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by; children: Helen A. Kocsi of Bethlehem Township, Frank (Vicki M.) Kocsi Jr. of Freemansburg; sister: Margaret Bartakovics of Hungary; grandchildren: Cassandra, William, David, Cadi; seven great grandchildren; she was anticipating the arrival of her eighth great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her brother: Joseph.
