Tanner J. Hardenberg, of Schnecksville, and member of Boy Scout Troop 57 earned Eagle Scout recognition recently after completing his Eagle Scout project.
Hardenberg installed mile makers along the trail at Kolapechka Park, North Whitehall Township, for his Eagle Scout project.
He earned 37 merit badges.
The leadership positions Hardenberg held include Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader and Historian.
Hardenberg also participated in the Order of the Arrow Ordeal.
The Order of the Arrow Ordeal is a ceremony where elected Boy Scouts become members of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society, according to his father Jonathan Hardenberg. It involves a period of reflection, service and fellowship, emphasizing the values of cheerful service, brotherhood, and leadership.
Tanner is the son of Hardenberg, of Schnecksville and Jodee Gangemi, of Coplay.
Troop 57 meets 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the Scout Lodge, located in the woods of Neffs United Church of Christ, 5550 Route 873, Neffs.
