Warren R. Rothenberger

Mack Trucks retiree

Warren R. “Shorty” Rothenberger, 92, of Whitehall, died July 19, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Ann M. (Querio) Rothenberger. Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Warren J. and Beatrice M. (Kuhns) Rothenberger.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with a rank of Corporal. He was a lifetime member of Breinigsville V.F.W. Post No. 8282 and a member of Howard L. Peter American Legion Post # 576, Allentown.

He was employed as an electrician at Mack Trucks, Inc. in Allentown, retiring from the 5-C Plant in 1987 after 33 years of service and a proud member of the UAW Local 677. He also served as fire chief for the volunteer fire brigade of Plant 4. In his free time, he enjoyed farming, repairing cars and driving country roads in one of his prized automobiles.

He was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Allentown.

He is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Grimshaw, of Allentown; grandsons, Ian M. Grimshaw (Sara), of Charleston, S.C., Justin M. Grimshaw (Julia), of Center Valley; great-grandchildren, Justin Jr., Evelyn.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ann; siblings, Clarence J., Raymond R., Marie E. Walbert, Gloria M. Bernecker.
