The Large Flowerheads fill the air with good vibrations
The Emmaus Community Park Summer Concert Series continued July 20 with The Large Flowerheads taking the stage.
The rain and humidity moved out of the area in time to bring slight breezes and a blue sky for the 6 p.m. band start. Several hundred people filled the pavilion and community park lawn to enjoy the more than two hours of songs of decades past.
“Superfans” from throughout the Lehigh Valley showed up to enjoy music of the 1960s and 1970s. Crowds took to dancing to their favorite hits and engaging with the band members to enjoy the beautiful evening.
Band member Colleen Zajacik led the crowd in Nancy Sinatra’s hit “These Boots Were Made For Walkin’” to walk their “boots” throughout the pavilion area.
The concerts are free and donations are accepted.
More information can be found on the Emmaus Borough webpage for the upcoming concerts running through Aug. 31.
