State Police blotter in Salisbury

Fleeing and eluding

A 19-year-old male, of New York, was taken into custody after leading state troopers from an attempted traffic stop in Salisbury Township into the City of Easton June 29, according to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Authorities attempted to pull the motorist over along Interstate 78 eastbound in Salisbury Township 8:37 p.m. and the motorist fled eastbound into Northampton County. Stop sticks were used and the vehicle tires were damaged, however, the vehicle continued into Easton off Interstate 78. The motorist was “located in the area of a retention pond with high grass and shrubs” and was taken into custody, according to the press release from state police.

Theft

A large jack hammer attachment for an excavator was removed from a location in the area of Interstate 78 Eastbound and West Rock Road, Salisbury Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported at approximately 2:09 p.m. July 17.
