Doris E. (Cheeks) Stufflet, 96, of Topton, formerly of New Ringgold, died July 27, 2025 at the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of Sterling E. Stufflet, who died in 2011. Born in Augusta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Harris) Cheeks.

She devoted her life to caring for her family and home. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home. She attended Jacob’s Church in New Tripoli.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan, of New Ringgold; grandsons, Douglas and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Addison and Emma; several nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her siblings, a generation now reunited. She was predeceased by her son, Robert E.; seven siblings.

There will be a memorial graveside service held at the convenience of the family at Fogelsville Union Cemetery. Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nester Funeral Home, Inc. in New Tripoli. Online condolences recorded at www.NesterFuneralHome.com.
