North Parkland CM rolls past Moore, falls to ES

The North Parkland Buffaloes Senior Connie Mack team was on each side of 10-run games last week, winning one and losing one.

The Buffaloes took down Moore Township 11-1 in five innings last Friday, but three days later were upended 12-2 at East Stroudsburg on Monday evening.

In the victory over the Redhawks, North Parkland jumped out to a big lead, scoring five runs in the bottom of the first inning and then adding two in the second and four in the fourth.

An error accounted for the game’s first run, but then two straight doubles, a three-run two-bagger by Max Vargas and a one-run double from Noah Ream pushed the lead to 5-0 after the first inning of play.

The Buffaloes were then helped out by two more errors in the bottom of the second inning and concluded their scoring in the fourth with a bases-loaded walk to Tristin Cancelliere, a two-run double from Brandon Gonzalez and an RBI single by Ream.

Jared Santilli and Tanner Hardenberg combined to throw a no-hitter. Ream led the lineup going 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Gavin Hudak, Santilli, Gonzalez and Vargas finished with a hit.

Against East Stroudsburg, the Warriors took the early lead with a run in the bottom of the second inning. The Buffaloes took the lead with a two-run top of the third on a two-run single by Ben Lorah to push his team to a 2-1 advantage. East Stroudsburg answered, however, with two more runs in the bottom of third and five in the fourth.

Hudak and Lorah both tallied two hits and each of Tyler Dietrich, Royce Morabito, Ream and Cancelliere all had one hit.

North Parkland is now 4-5-1 overall and sits 10th overall out of 21 teams.
