Liberty will have two teams playing in this week’s playoffs of the Lehigh Valley Summer Soccer League at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus.

Liberty’s A and B teams were both sitting in third place in their respective groups heading into Monday’s final slate of regular season games, which were postponed due to the weather.

Hurricanes B team which is in Group A were 6-1-3 coming into the week, sitting behind first place Lions II (8-2) and second-place Hornets/Emmaus (7-2-1).

New Tripoli Bank/Northwestern lead Group B at 8-1 and Palisades was second with a 7-0-2 mark. Hurricanes A were 7-1-1 overall.

Both teams will be seeded in the top six of the 16 team tournament, but seedings won’t be released until after Press deadlines.

The first round of the tournament starts on July 16 with the tournament wrapping up next week with quarters on July 21, semifinals on July 23 and the championship on July 24.
