Ronald C. Lanze Sr.

of South Whitehall Township

Ronald C. Lanze Sr. 84, of South Whitehall Township, died June 23, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Donald and Arlene (Heil) Lanze. He was married to Marie A. (Szilezy) Lanze for 62 years at the time of her passing Oct. 1, 2024.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

He was employed by United Parcel Service before retiring in 1995. He loved nothing more than being with his family, whether it was for Sunday dinner, watching his grandkids and great-grandkids play sports or hosting holiday celebrations at his home. He enjoyed vacationing with his family at the beach, classic cars, gardening, putting up his annual Christmas train display and sitting poolside with his grandchildren along with his granddog Harper. He leaves a legacy of wit and humor for his family to cherish forever.

He is survived by his daughters, Deanna Shisslak (Jeff), Donna Remaley (Kent), Christina Toth (Bob), Alicia and Gina McKelley (Sean); grandchildren, Ashley (Matt), Jeffrey (Danielle), Natalie (Brian) and Madison; great-grandchildren, Liam, Ellie, Cora, Landon, Kennedy and Callum; daughter-in-law, Tracy; many beloved brother and sister in-laws; cousins; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his son, Ronald Jr. and son-in-law Brian Maehrer.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. June 30 in Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, where his family will receive guests beginning 9 a.m.
