Fun in the Sun fundraiser brightens dreary weather

The weather outside might have felt dreary recently with rain, but inside the St. Ann School gymnasium, it was nothing but bright. Over 120 basket donations were beautifully arranged on numerous tables set up throughout the gym.

In addition to the basket raffle, visitors could participate in a silent auction, 50/50 drawing and baked goods sale.

The Women’s Alliance of St. Ann organized the fundraiser which was held to support numerous projects for the parish, school and community.

Supporters of the basket raffle could find a variety of baskets to drop their tickets into for a chance to win.

Baskets were filled with figures from Frozen, Disney, Bluey, Harry Potter, Hello Kitty, Raggedy Ann as well as unicorns, squishmallows and Pokemon.

For men, there were baskets for the barbecue, Wehrung’s, Eagles, Steelers, Phillies, Army, pub crawls and car washes.

For women, faith and inspiration baskets, tea, beauty, jewelry, pampering and seasonal baskets were available.

Family-themed baskets included Putt U passes, Back to the Arcade, Old Glory, coffee lovers and Hallow subscriptions. Gift cards for many local businesses including Weis, East Penn Diner, Bear Creek, Jersey Mike’s, Urban Air, Oliver’s Salon and Spa, Chopsticks, Scheetz, Giant, Don Juan and Gio could all be found in baskets.

The silent auction packages included jewelry from Talbots, Dinners Around the World, IronPigs Family Night, Vera Bradley Beach Day, Holiday Family Gathering and Lights, Camera, Action! Theater package.

The Women’s Alliance of St. Ann’s thanks the businesses and individuals who donated items to make this fundraiser a success. They appreciate the support from the school, parish and the community for participating in this year’s event. The women look forward to dedicating their time, faith and energy in helping the Emmaus community.
