Diane Elizabeth Sterner, 76, of Macungie, died peacefully June 14, 2025, in St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mildred (Klepadlo) Palencar.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Cedar Crest College. She worked as a registered nurse for Bayada Home Care and previously Lehigh Valley Hospital.

She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by her son, Charles F. Kerchner III; daughters, Debra L. (Kerchner) and her husband, Michael O’Byrne and Tami L. (Sterner) and her husband, Clint Barthol; grandchildren, Jacob Kerchner, Benjamin Kerchner, Kaitlyn O’Byrne, Ashley O’Byrne, Danika Barthol and Kandis Barthol; sisters, Sandra Infanti and Colleen Palencar.

A private celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
