Rose Fest June 21 helps mark garden’s 95th year

The Bethlehem Rose Garden Farmers Market will celebrate its annual Rose Fest June 21, featuring demonstrations of food and crafts, garden tours, good food, music, puppet shows and puppet making and many activities for children, too, including Lenape crafts.

Rose Fest raises funds for the garden park which is celebrating its 95th year, according to Mary Toulouse, president of the Mount Airy Neighborhood Associtaion.

‘The Rose Garden needs seasonal updating and weekly maintenance,” she said. “Due to previous updates, the Rose Garden now blooms from spring to fall.”

MANA also sponsors new vendors for the Farmers Market, providing them with a space and support to help them grow their businesses. Many of the current vendors started with sponsorship.

Shoppers will find coffee, baked goods, handmade jewelry, sustainably raised meat and poultry, micrograms, mushrooms, produce, fresh bread, flowers, and much more at the Rose Garden Farmers Market along with live entertainment.

The Bethlehem Rose Garden Farmers Market is in the Bethlehem Rose Garden, located between Broad Street and Union Boulevard at Eighth Street. The market is open Saturdays through Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you are a vendor interested in joining the Farmers Market, email 18018mana@gmail.com.
