St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be celebrating Pastor Joe Kweder’s 40th ordination anniversary in the parish hall after the Masses June 1. Come and join the congregation in celebrating this special event.

St. Elizabeth’s welcomes all community members to its parish festival, planned for 6-10 p.m. June 6 and again 5-10 p.m. June 7 on the parish grounds at Fullerton Avenue and Pershing Boulevard.

There will be children’s entertainment, a balloon guy, games, bingo June 7, adult games and raffles. There will be food, featuring the church’s famous halupki dinner, cabbage and noodles, fries, funnel cake, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza, steak sandwiches, pierogies, potato pancakes, sausage and peppers, snow cones, waffles and ice cream. There will also be a bake sale, beer and adult slushies.

The Steel Creek band will play June 6, and Flirtin’ with the Mob will play June 7.

The men’s breakfast group of St. John’s United Church of Christ will meet 8:30 a.m. June 7 at Hamilton Family Restaurant, 2027 Hamilton St., Allentown.
