St. Paul’s vs. East Hills

For the 67th time, Suburban League Champ St. Paul’s played the City League Champ, East Hills, in the Lehigh Valley Championship.

This year it was St. Paul’s winning the championship three games to none for their eighth overall Lehigh Valley Championship.

The first game saw St. Paul’s winning 5-3. In Game 2 East Hills made it close but St. Paul’s prevailed 7-6 in 10 innings. Game 3 found St. Paul’s winning the game 3-2 and taking the Championship.

Leading hitters for St. Paul’s included Jennifer Erkinger 8-14, Paul Slimmion 6-13, Kevin Gross 5-14, Jason Gross 4-13, and Roger Kern was also 4-13.

For East Hills, Jim Koehler was 8-13, Bob Baer 5-11, Frank Pavlov 4-13 and Jim Knerr 4-14.
