Mr. Salisbury 2025 crowned

PRESS PHOTOS BY KATHY HASSICKAfter a 2-year hiatus, the Mr. Salisbury competition was held April 26 in the Salisbury High School auditorium. Contestants got the crowd ready for an evening of lighthearted fun with a song and dance number showcasing their collective talents. ABOVE: Participants in the competition include Austin Spissak, Joshua Holler, Patrick O’Keefe, Jason St. Leger, Caleb Gonzalez, Donovan Hamilton, Breydan Guri, Avonte Reid, James Scialla, Nathaniel Tone, Lucas Soria and Dominic Figuroa.
Dominic Figuroua kicks off the show with his talent – speed eating a Wendy’s 4 for $4 meal in just over two minutes. Gulp! Additional photos appear on Page A7.
James Scialla and Nathaniel Tone, assisted by Emcee Hailey Bender, win the crowd over with their impressive guitar and vocal abilities.
Artists-in-residence Caleb Gonzalez and Jason St. Leger amaze the audience with their skillful, albeit abstract, portrait painting.

To ensure Mr. Salisbury is not all about good looks and talent, contestants are required to take part in an interview process where they answer questions to showcase their wit and mental acuity.
Audience participation is required at the competition to elect “The People’s Princess.” Joshua Holler takes home the crown with Lucas Soria placing second and Jason St. Leger in third place.
The 2025 “Mr. Salisbury” crown is presented to James Scialla who, after receiving his crown and sash, serenades the crowd with a song to close out the evening.
